Logos for local businesses that read at a glance on a storefront sign, a work shirt, a truck door and a tiny Instagram profile picture.
How we design logos
Built for where your logo actually lives
A local business logo has a hard job. It has to work at 40 feet on a sign, at an inch wide on a business card, on a dark shirt and as a circle cut-off on Google Maps and Instagram. We test every direction in those real sizes before you pick one.
What's included
- Several directions to choose from
- Revisions until it's right
- Icon, horizontal and stacked versions
- Vector files for signs, decals and printing
- PNG and SVG files for web and social
- Color and black-and-white versions
Our process
- Talk: what you do, who your customers are, what you like and don't like.
- Directions: several different concepts shown on real mockups.
- Refine: we adjust the one you choose until it feels like your business.
- Files: every version and format you need, organized and ready to send to a printer.
Logo cleanup
From $150
Lots of businesses have a logo that was made years ago, saved as a small JPG, and now looks fuzzy on everything. Logo cleanup redraws it as a crisp vector file without changing the look your customers know. It starts at $150 and is a common add-on to a new website.
What makes a logo work
The logos that hold up best for local businesses are simple. They use one or two colors, a shape you can recognize from across the street, and lettering that's readable when it's tiny. Detailed illustrations and thin script fonts look great on a big screen and fall apart on a shirt or a profile photo.
We also think about how you'll use it: a dark version for black work shirts and window decals, a light version for paper, and a square icon for Instagram, Google and your website's browser tab. Your logo should also match the rest of your brand, from your website to your truck lettering.
Who we design for
Auto shops, detailers, tint and wrap shops, contractors, cleaners, barbers, restaurants and other local service businesses across Chicago and the suburbs. If customers see your name on a sign, a vehicle or a shirt, the logo has to work there first.
Logo FAQ
How much does a logo cost?
A new logo is quoted per project, based on how many directions and versions you need. If you already have a logo that looks blurry or pixelated, logo cleanup starts at $150.
What files will I get?
You get your logo as an icon, a horizontal version and a stacked version, in files for print (vector), web and social media. They're ready for a sign shop, a shirt printer or a vinyl decal.
How many revisions are included?
We go back and forth until it's right. You start with several directions to react to, then we refine the one you like.
Can you redraw my existing logo?
Yes. Logo cleanup redraws your current logo as a sharp vector file, so it prints clean on decals, shirts and signs. It starts at $150.
Do you design matching business cards and websites?
Yes. That's the point of using one studio: your logo, cards and website all match. Business card design is $100.
